Yes, if it is within 30 days. Open the Photos app › Albums (or Utilities) › Recently Deleted, unlock with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, select the items and tap Recover. TidyByte never bypasses this album.

TidyByte needs Full Access to your photo library to scan. Check Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › TidyByte and choose Full Access. With "Limited" access it can only see the photos you selected. Then reopen the app; the first scan can take a few minutes on a very large library.

Open Settings inside TidyByte and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID that made the purchase. If it still does not unlock, email us the Apple receipt (you can black out anything personal).

Subscriptions and refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Cancel in iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep Pro until the end of the paid period.

Smart Search runs a small AI model on the iPhone's Neural Engine and needs iPhone 12 or newer. On older iPhones TidyByte offers Smart Filters instead (search by type, date, size and Apple's own metadata). Everything else in the app works on any iPhone with iOS 17 or later.

The first time you set up Smart Search, TidyByte downloads its on-device model (about 300 MB) from Apple's servers. It normally happens once, only after you tap Set Up, and only on Pro. iOS may remove the model if the phone runs very low on space; TidyByte then offers to download it again. After that, everything runs on your iPhone. Your photos are never uploaded.

That is honest, not an error. Some videos are already efficiently encoded, and re-encoding them would make the file bigger. TidyByte checks the real output size and refuses to give you a larger file. It does not use up a free compression when that happens.

Your photos and videos never leave your iPhone. There is no account and no analytics. If you buy Pro, Apple processes the payment and our purchase-management provider receives an anonymous identifier and receipt to unlock Pro across your devices.
